CAFFEINE PATCHES

A caffeine patch is an adhesive patch with caffeine in its active layer, worn on clean, dry skin instead of drinking coffee or an energy drink. This page is about the caffeine itself: how much is in each VYROTECH formula, how to count it against the rest of your day, and what a patch label can and cannot honestly tell you.

Australian guidance commonly cited for healthy adults sits around 400 mg of caffeine per day, and around 200 mg in a single serve. A standard espresso shot is roughly 60 to 80 mg, a takeaway flat white commonly 100 to 160 mg, and a 250 ml energy drink about 80 mg. A VYROTECH patch adds 75 mg, 100 mg or 125 mg of caffeine content on top of whatever else you have had.

One point we will not soften: the milligram figure on a caffeine patch is the amount contained in the patch. It is not a delivered dose, not an absorbed dose, and not equivalent to drinking the same number of milligrams. Anyone telling you a patch equals a double shot is inventing the comparison.

THE RANGE

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

The exact milligram figure

A caffeine patch should print its caffeine content in milligrams, per patch. A blend name with no number makes daily caffeine tracking impossible.

Content, not 'delivered dose'

Watch the wording. Content is measurable. 'Delivers 200 mg' implies an absorption figure that a patch brand is in no position to promise.

A cut-off time

Caffeine has a long half-life. A patch worn into the evening is a sleep problem waiting to happen, so look for a stated latest-application time.

Who should skip it

Caffeine is not for everyone. Clear labelling names pregnancy, breastfeeding, under-18s, heart conditions, high blood pressure and anxiety as reasons to avoid it or ask a doctor first.

COMMON QUESTIONS

How much caffeine is in each VYROTECH patch?
VYRO DRIVE contains 125 mg, VYRO IGNITE contains 100 mg, and VYRO SHRED contains 75 mg plus 50 mg of green tea extract. VYRO CREATINE+ and VYRO HYDRATE+ contain no caffeine.
Is a caffeine patch the same as a cup of coffee?
No. The figure on a patch describes the caffeine held in the patch, while a coffee figure describes what you actually drink. They are not interchangeable, and VYROTECH does not publish equivalence claims.
How long should I wear a caffeine patch?
Up to eight hours, and remove it well before bed. VYROTECH advises against applying a caffeine patch after mid-afternoon.
Can I drink coffee while wearing one?
You can, but count both. Patch caffeine sits on top of everything else you consume, so keep your whole day within the intake that is right for you.
Who should avoid caffeine patches?
Anyone under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, sensitive to caffeine, or managing a heart condition, high blood pressure or anxiety should avoid them or speak to a health professional first.
Are caffeine patches legal in Australia?
VYROTECH patches are sold in Australia as supplements. They are prototype products and are not listed with the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
