ELECTROLYTE PATCHES
Electrolyte patches sit against the skin carrying mineral salts — typically magnesium, sodium and potassium — as an alternative to a mixed drink or a tablet dropped into a bottle.
There is a claim widely repeated across the wellness market that minerals absorb readily through intact skin. It is not well supported, and VYROTECH does not make it. Minerals in solution exist as charged ions, and charged ions are generally poor candidates for crossing the outer skin layer.
What a patch does offer is a sugar-free, no-mixing, nothing-to-carry format for people who already drink plenty of water and simply do not want another flavoured bottle. VYRO HYDRATE+ pairs magnesium chloride, sodium citrate and potassium citrate with taurine, and it is designed to sit alongside your fluid intake — never to replace it.
If you are training long or in heat, drink. The patch is a convenience layer on top of that, not a substitute for it.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
All three minerals named
Sodium is the electrolyte lost in the greatest quantity in sweat. A hydration product that lists only magnesium is incomplete.
Explicit 'does not replace drinking' wording
Any hydration patch that positions itself as an alternative to fluid intake is unsafe marketing.
No absorption percentages
Nobody can tell you what percentage of a mineral crosses your skin. A number like that on a label is invented.
Kidney and sodium cautions
Sodium and potassium matter medically. Good labelling flags kidney disease and fluid-restricted diets.
COMMON QUESTIONS
- Do electrolytes absorb through the skin?
- Claims that minerals absorb readily through intact skin are widely repeated and not well supported. Minerals in solution are charged ions, which generally makes crossing the outer skin layer difficult. VYROTECH does not claim otherwise.
- Can an electrolyte patch replace drinking water?
- No, and it should never be used that way. HYDRATE+ is designed to sit alongside normal fluid intake.
- What is in VYRO HYDRATE+?
- 150 mg magnesium chloride, 150 mg sodium citrate, 100 mg potassium citrate, 150 mg taurine and 2 mg vitamin B6 — 552 mg total actives per patch.
- Is it suitable if I have kidney issues?
- Speak to your doctor first. Sodium and potassium intake matters medically, and this is not a product to add without advice in that situation.
