INGREDIENT

POTASSIUM CITRATE (TRIPOTASSIUM CITRATE, ANHYDROUS)

Tripotassium citrate · CAS 866-84-2

The potassium salt of citric acid, included as the potassium component of the VYRO HYDRATE+ formula.

WHAT IT IS

Potassium citrate is the potassium salt of citric acid, used across the food industry as a buffer and mineral source.

Potassium is an essential dietary mineral and a major intracellular electrolyte.

WHY FORMULAS USE IT

  • Electrolyte formulas conventionally pair sodium with potassium rather than using sodium alone.
  • The citrate form is highly soluble and food-grade standard.

WHAT THE EVIDENCE COVERS

Potassium's dietary role is well established. Sweat losses of potassium are real but far smaller than sodium losses.

As with the other minerals in this range, that dietary science does not describe a skin-contact patch.

CONTENT IS NOT ABSORPTION

Potassium in solution is a charged ion, with the same skin-barrier caveat that applies to sodium and magnesium.

Treat the label figure as patch content, not intake.

LIMITATIONS & CAUTIONS

  • Not suitable without medical advice if you have kidney disease or take potassium-affecting medication.
  • For adults 18+. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

IN THE VYROTECH RANGE

Doses shown are the quantity contained in each patch's active layer. They are not a delivered, absorbed or dietary intake figure.
