INGREDIENT
L-CARNITINE
Levocarnitine · CAS 541-15-1
A compound the body makes from lysine and methionine, involved in transporting fatty acids inside cells.
WHAT IT IS
L-carnitine is a quaternary ammonium compound synthesised in the body from two amino acids, lysine and methionine. It is also obtained from the diet, mainly from red meat.
Its established biological role is in shuttling long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they can be metabolised.
WHY FORMULAS USE IT
- That transport role is why L-carnitine became a fixture in body-composition and endurance formulas across the industry.
- It is a well-characterised, stable ingredient with conventional dosing precedent.
WHAT THE EVIDENCE COVERS
Oral L-carnitine has been studied extensively, with results that are genuinely mixed and highly dependent on dose, duration and the population studied.
Having a role in fat metabolism inside a cell is not the same as causing fat loss. VYROTECH does not make that leap, and no VYROTECH page should imply it.
CONTENT IS NOT ABSORPTION
L-carnitine carries a permanent positive charge, which is generally unfavourable for crossing the outer skin layer.
The 250 mg listed on the SHRED label is the quantity in the active layer, not a delivered or absorbed amount.
LIMITATIONS & CAUTIONS
- • Not a weight-loss product and not a substitute for diet and training.
- • For adults 18+. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- • Consult your doctor before use if you have a medical condition or take medication.
IN THE VYROTECH RANGE
Doses shown are the quantity contained in each patch's active layer. They are not a delivered, absorbed or dietary intake figure.
