INGREDIENT
BETAINE ANHYDROUS (TMG)
Trimethylglycine · CAS 107-43-7
A compound found naturally in beetroot and wheat, used as a methyl donor and osmolyte ingredient.
WHAT IT IS
Betaine anhydrous, also called trimethylglycine or TMG, occurs naturally in beets, spinach and wheat bran.
In the body it functions as a methyl donor and as an organic osmolyte — a molecule that helps cells manage fluid balance.
WHY FORMULAS USE IT
- It is a conventional companion to creatine in strength-positioned formulas.
- It is a stable, food-derived ingredient with straightforward handling.
WHAT THE EVIDENCE COVERS
Oral betaine has been studied in resistance-training contexts with mixed results.
No claim is made that these oral findings apply to a patch.
CONTENT IS NOT ABSORPTION
The dose of betaine in VYRO CREATINE+ is still being finalised, and the label says so rather than printing a placeholder number.
As with every ingredient on this site, a listed quantity describes patch content only.
LIMITATIONS & CAUTIONS
- • Dose not yet finalised in the current prototype formula.
- • For adults 18+. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
